Board Certified Behavior Analyst
The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking a full or part-time board certified behavior analyst for our public therapeutic day school. The BCBA is responsible for providing behavioral consultation and coaching to programs in order to support teams in meeting the individual needs of students, to improve both academic and social competence. They support teams to establish socially significant behavior change and attain positive intervention outcomes by providing consultation using evidence-based practices from the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Certified Nursing Assistant: Classroom Paraprofessional
The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking a certified nursing assistant (CNA) to work one-on-one with a student at Middlefork School. Middle Fork serves students with emotional disabilities, autism, and other related disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting the teacher with all classroom operations, providing student supervision, assisting students with academics and behavior, implementing school's behavior intervention procedures, completing documentation of student behavior/medical needs, changing diapers, administering medication, and other activities as assigned. Applicant must be physically capable of implementing behavioral techniques, lifting/moving students, and moving quickly.
Seeking a full-time classroom paraprofessional to serve Middlefork School, a public therapeutic day school in Vermilion County, for students with significant disabilities. Classroom paraprofessionals provide direct behavioral support to students with disabilities and assist with instructional tasks as directed by the certified teacher. Candidate must possess Illinois Professional Educator Licensure endorsed as Paraprofessional. Starting wage is $18.81 per hour. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 for a three-year commitment. $1,500 retention bonus every three years.
Teacher of the Deaf and Hearing Impaired
Seeking a full or part-time DHH teacher to serve students with deafness or hearing loss in south Vermilion County. Candidate must possess Illinois Professional Educator Licensure with Endorsement as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Endorsement. Sign-on bonus of $3,000 for a three-year commitment. $1,500 retention bonus paid every three years!
Seeking a full-time classroom teacher to serve Middlefork School, a public therapeutic day school in Vermilion County, for students with disabilities. The teacher would run a self-contained classroom for students who exhibit challenging with behavior regulation. Candidate must possess Illinois Professional Educator Licensure as an LBSI teacher or hold a substitute license with intent to enroll in an LBSI program.
Seeking full or part-time speech-language pathologists to fill openings in rural districts in Vermilion County providing speech and language services to students age 3-21. VASE currently employees three speech-language pathologists, so opportunities for collaboration and consultation are consistent and convenient. Professional development opportunities within and outside of the cooperative are provided at no cost to employees. Candidates must possess Illinois Professional Educator Licensure. Supervision for clinical fellows is available. Starting salary is $49,614 with a $2000 yearly stipend awarded for possession/maintenance of ASHA CCC's. Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Immediate positions available for full or part-time speech-language pathology assistants to fill openings in rural districts in Vermilion County providing speech and language services to students age 3-21. Under supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist, the speech-language paraprofessional assists in the screening and provision of services for students with speech-language impairments. SLPAs must complete an approved training program and be licensed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); no Professional Educator License is required at this time. $3,000 sign-on bonus for 3 years of promised services. $1,500 retention bonus every three years!

Candidates must possess and Illinois Professional Educator License in School Counseling or IDFRP Licensure as an LCP or LCPC. Starting salary is no less than $49,264 with a $2000 yearly stipend awarded for possession/maintenance of LCPC. Our team has many opportunities to match with your personal interests! School Psychologist needed to provide assessment, consultation, and collaboration. Knowledge and experience in Response to Intervention is preferred. The Vermilion Association for Special Education serves 10 county schools: Armstrong Ellis, Armstrong Township, Bismarck-Henning, Georgetown-Ridge Farm, Hoopeston, Potomac, Oakwood, Rossville-Alvin, Salt Fork, and Westville. Open placement requires minimal travel and allows the psychologist to tailor duties towards their personal interests. Starting salary is no less than $50,614 with a $2000 yearly stipend awarded for possession/maintenance of national certification. The Vermilion Association for Special Education is seeking school psychology interns at the masters and doctoral level. School psychologist intern will work under the supervision of one or more certified school psychologists. The intern will receive experience in one or more school districts at buildings serving students from early childhood through high school, including a therapeutic day school. The intern will gain experience in RtI, curriculum-based assessment, standardized assessment, play-based assessment, consultation and collaboration, participation on problem-solving teams, and other areas of interest to the intern. A stipend of $25,000 is awarded.

Teacher of the Visually Impaired
The Vermilion Association for Special Education is a full or part-time Teacher for the Visually Impaired. The teacher will be working with students throughout Vermilion County. Travel is required and all mileage is reimbursed by the cooperative. $3,000 sign-on bonus for three years of promised service. $1,500 retention bonus every three years! Low student caseload. Board paid TRS, life insurance, and health insurance. Board paid professional development available.
