Current Open Positions: 

Personal Aide - Permanent full-time 176-day position for the 2017-18 school year. Personal aide for a student at Middlefork School, a public therapeutic day school for students in Vermilion County, grades K-12 with emotional disabilities, autism, and cognitive disabilities. Duties include student supervision, behavior management, and assistance with self-care. Qualifications: high-school diploma or GED. Benefits package offered. 

School Social Worker - Permanent full or part-time 180 or 190-day position for school social worker for the 2017-18 school year.  VASE serves students from 10 rural districts in Vermilion County.  The cooperative hires 11 social workers, so a large team is available for collaboration. Numerous professional development opportunities are available and paid for by the association.  Requires ISBE Professional Educator License endorsed as School Social Worker.  

School Counselor- Permanent full or part-time 180 or 190-day position for school counselor to provide counseling services to students with disabilities for the 2017-2018 school year. Duties would include the completion of social developmental studies, student assessments, and implementation of individual/group counseling. The school counselor would also assist in writing IEP goals for students with counseling needs. Training will be provided, if needed, on IEP writing.  Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educators Licensure in School Counseling is required.

Regional Safe Schools Teacher- High School - Permanent full-time 180 day position for the 2017-18 school year. High school teacher needed for Regional Safe Schools Program.  RSSP is a program for Vermilion County students in grades 6-12 who have multiple suspensions or expulsion from their home school. RSSP offers small class size, typically averaging 10 students per class.  The teacher is responsible for implementing an online curriculum and supplementing the curriculum with small and large group instruction.  IL PEL endorsed for Secondary Education in any subject area. 

Speech Language Pathologist - Permanent full or part-time 180 or 190-day position for the 2017-18 school year.  Requires ISBE certification.  Competitive salary and benefit package. $2000 yearly bonus for ASHA-CCC.

School Psychologist Permanent full-time 190-day position for the 2017-18 school year.  Requires ISBE certification.  Competitive salary and benefit package. $2000 yearly bonus for national certification.

Substitute Teacher - Substitute teachers needed for Middlefork School.  Middlefork provides special education services to students with emotional disabilities and autism and general education services to students in the Regional Safe Schools Program. 

Substitute Teacher's Assistant - Substitute Teacher Assistants needed for Middlefork School.  Middlefork School provides special education services for students with emotional disabilities and autism and general education services for students in the Regional Safe Schools Program.  Substitute teacher assistants may provide services to an individual student (personal aide substitute) or to a classroom (classroom aide substitute).

Technical Assistant: Early Childhood and Audiology - Permanent part-time technical assistant to manage daily operations of the audiology office and manage the completion and storage of special education records for special education students ages 3-5. Hours are as follows: 8Am-4PM Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday.
